Friday 30 July 2021 at 11am

Following on from the wonderful Thomas Gray Art Exhibition, the next event is on Friday 30th July, at 11am when there'll be a short liturgy in St Giles’ church to remember the life of Thomas Gray and give thanks for his poetry.

Franzi Cheeseman, Head Gardener at Stoke Poges Memorial Gardens and Sandra Greenslade, Chair' of the Mobbs Memorial Trust will be laying wreaths on his tomb afterwards.

It is note worthy that the date is exactly 250 years ago since he died on 30th July, 1771 and was buried a week later in St Giles’ churchyard.
