This Sunday

Sunday 30th September

10.30am ***NEW***5th Sunday Family Service & Baptism at St Giles’ Church   Directions

6.30pm   Evensong Communion at St Giles’ Church   Directions

Please note that there will be no 9am Service at St Giles’ nor 10.30 at St Andrew’s.

On the Fifth Sundays of the month, we will be meeting together as one congregation for a Family service at St Giles’ at 10.30am.  This gives us a wonderful opportunity to worship as one community and this week, welcome new members into our church through baptism. There will be Junior Church in the Hastings Chapel and a crèche area for anyone who needs it.

Looking Ahead

It’s Shoebox time!

We have decided to get going on our Christmas shoebox appeal a little earlier than usual to give everyone a chance to join in. Leaflets are now available in both churches but you can also pay online or even create a “virtual” shoebox at https://www.samaritans-purse.org.uk/what-we-do/operation-christmas-child/

Harvest – Sunday 7th October

10.30am at St Giles’ – Harvest Festival Service Our Harvest offerings this year will be passed on to SHOC. We’d like to give them specific items which they use regularly:  coffee, sugar, long life milk, squash, tinned meat, fish and veg, ketchup and jam. If you can’t make the service, you can still contribute by dropping items in to the office or the coffee shop.

6.30pm at St Andrew’s – Harvest Supper Please let us know in the Church Office if you would like to attend the Supper or if you can produce a Chili con carne, a salad or a dessert.

New Wine—United 19:Week 2

It would be really great to get a group together for New Wine next Summer. Stoke Poges will be attending on Week 2 to allow for Lighthouse and this is the 4th-10th Aug 2019 at the new venue of The East of England Showground, Peterborough.  Do speak to Karen Perez for more information.
