St Andrew’s Chapel Open

for personal prayer. Monday-Friday 8.45am-3.15pm.

SHOC (Slough Homeless Our Concern)

We would like our donations to SHOC to be ongoing and there is now a basket in the foyer of St Andrew’s to enable you to give dried goods, shoes (male or female) and clothes. More information about their “Most Needed” items is available by the basket.

Looking Ahead 

Harvest Festival and Supper Sunday 29th September

Service at 10.30am at St Giles’ ~ Supper 6.30pm at St Andrew’s. Do put the date in your diary and invite family and friends.

Bacon Sandwich Chefs needed

Please let Kate know if you can help to cook the bacon sandwiches at St Andrew’s on any of the following Sundays: 6th October, 3rd November, 1st December.

‘Soup’s On!’ 
After a successful summer trial, we will be continuing with this until the end of October. After our midweek Communion we have been sharing a light lunch of soup in the Coffee Shop and enjoying a time of fellowship.
Communion at 11am, Soup at 12noon. Do come along for either or both and please do bring a friend.  If transport is an issue please let the office know and we will help.

The Coffee Shop

The Coffee Shop is open both morning and afternoon from Tuesday 17th Sept. Please see the Coffee Shop page for full details.

Care International Sponsored Cycle across Vietnam and Cambodia Margriet and Charlotte Wells are on this 450km ride right now! Please pray for stamina and safety. Macmillan Coffee Morning Friday 27th Sept 10am-1pm at the home of Barbara Aldridge. Do come and support by eating cake – the more the merrier! See noticesheet or ask Barbara for her address.

A bit more cleaning!

In order to keep both of our churches spick and span or at least fit for human habitation, we have a small amount of paid cleaning time for St Andrew’s “high traffic areas” but the rest falls to a few people who have been faithfully serving in this way for a long time and really could do with your help. For the hale and hearty: some mopping, sweeping, hoovering and wiping at both churches and for the less energetic, a little light dusting and brass cleaning at St Giles’. If we can get several people in small teams on a rota, it will only be a couple of hours per month. Please contact Kate if you can help.
